Penner Receives NJCAA Achievement Award

Dustin Penner
Dustin Penner, a 2002 Dakota College graduate, and a nine year National Hockey League veteran with over 300 goals to his credit, has been named as the recipient of the National Junior College Athletic Association's (NJCAA) Achievement Award. The Achievement Award is presented to former NJCAA student-athletes who have displayed outstanding athletic ability in national, olympic, or international competition and possess excellent ethical character. Dustin won the Stanley Cup with the Anaheim Ducks in 2007 and with the L.A. Kings in 2012. He is currently playing with the Washington Capitals.

Dakota College at Bottineau boasts a proud hockey tradition. The Lumberjacks have captured eight National Championship and twelve Runners Up titles in twenty-four national tournament appearances.
