UND International Studies speaker series begins March 2

The University of North Dakota Spring 2016 International Studies speaker series, with the theme of The Immigrant Journey & the Politics of Refuge,  launches Wednesday, March 2, with a talk on "Immigration & Human Rights in Haiti"  by Humphrey Fellow Nidson Augustin (University of Minnesota School of Law).

The series events are being held in the Gallery of the Empire Arts Center at 7 p.m. with a reception at 6:30 p.m. These events are free and all are welcome.

The list of events follows:

  • March 2 -- Humphrey Fellow Nidson Augustin, "Immigration & Human Rights in Haiti"

  • March 30  -- Panel discussion, "Community Perspectives on Immigration & Inclusion"

  • April 20 -- Student projects, "A Right to Refuge? Absolutely! So What's the Problem?"
