Irregularities isolated only to special international programs at DSU by DSU Audit Posted on 3/1/2012 A sample of student files at Dickinson State University was recently tested by Bill Eggert, North Dakota University System director of internal audit and risk assessment. A small population from each semester was represented totaling 158 of student files dated from the fall of 2005 up until the fall of 2011. "Issues with student files were solely designated to the special international cohort," said Eggert. "My testing was on the other four cohorts: domestic first year students, domestic transfer students, international first year students and international transfer students, to which all 158 files were complete and with no issues noted." Files tested contained all the relevant prior transcripts, general education audits and final graduation audits at a minimum. The also contained letters, hand written notes, substitution and class waiver forms. "The process used by the Office of Academic Records at Dickinson State to ensure these students were enrolled and graduated accurately was easy to follow and the amount of documentation made my review very easy," said Eggert. Results of the Addendum to DSU International Transfer Agreement Report dated Feb. 10 will be available at www.ndus.edu later this week. |
