Business Club at DSU helps build Reaper's Keep, a "charity scar-ity"

Posted on 10/26/2012

The Dickinson State University Business Club has been assisting with the annual Reaper's Keep haunted barn this year as part of its mission to become active in the local community. The Reaper's Keep is made possible by Anita and Dave Weiler of Dave's Quality Carpet Care and various volunteer groups.

Each year, the Weiler's give a portion of their collected revenue to clubs and organizations who have contributed to the project. The DSU Business Club will receive a portion of the proceeds from this year's event and is planning on making a donation to the House of Manna. Members will continue to help put up walls, paint, and construct props throughout the week as well as be part of the "scream team".

"The Reaper's Keep this year is looking to be pretty scary and should be lots of fun for the older kids," said Holly Forsness, Business Club advisor. "We were very fortunate that Anita and her crew allowed us to take part in this experience."

The Reaper's Keep will be open on October 27 and 31 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and is located one mile south of Dickinson. Admission is $5 per person. The Reaper's Keep is not suitable for young audiences.
