BSC continues 75 Year Celebration with open house and documentary encore Posted on 2/4/2014
On Valentine's Day (Feb. 14), Bismarck State College will show its love to the community with two events. Both events are tied to the college's 75 Year Celebration and are free and open to the public.

BSC's graphic design students spent the fall semester designing and constructing two displays that leverage the college's 75 years of history. One display focuses on the BSC logos over the years and the other on student activities and campus architecture. Students worked closely with the archives at BSC and the State Historical Society of North Dakota.

"Celebrating 75 Years: The Story of Bismarck State College" tells the story of how Bismarck Junior College, established in 1939 as a Depression-era experiment on the third floor of Bismarck High School, has grown into Bismarck State College, the third largest college in the university system. The 90-minute film is a mix of archival footage, narrative and more than 50 interviews.
