SUBJECT: 900s: Facilities EFFECTIVE: July 1, 2015
Section: 918 Alcoholic Beverages

  1. Definitions.

    1. "Alcoholic beverages" means any liquid suitable for drinking by human beings, except prescription drugs or over-the-counter medications, which contains one-half of one percent or more of alcohol by volume.

    2. "President" includes the dean of Dakota College at Bottineau.

  2. The possession, sale, service, use, or consumption of alcoholic beverages upon land or in buildings at institutions under control of the Board is prohibited, except as authorized by the institution's president.

  3. Alcoholic beverages may not be purchased with public funds unless the alcoholic beverages will be used for authorized training or educational purposes.

  4. The Chancellor shall adopt a procedure to implement this policy.
