Envision 2030 Agriculture Pillar to take place Thursday

The North Dakota University System's next Envision 2030 Pillar discussion will take place Thursday, Oct. 13.
The "Agriculture" Pillar talk will be hosted by North Dakota State University and take place at the Alumni Center there from 1-3 p.m. Teleconferencing options have been made available for those unable to attend the meeting in person.
Discussion will revolve around goals set at the Envision 2030 breakout session in May, which included raising awareness on the need to double food production by 2050, developing ag-related technology, partnerships and infrastructure, and extending the model of agricultural teaching from the U.S. to the world.
The schedule of remaining Pillar events is as follows (all times listed below are Central Time): Tuesday, Oct. 18. 1-3 p.m. Lake Region State College. Health Care. Wednesday, Oct. 19. 1-3 p.m. Bismarck State College. Technology. Thursday, Oct. 20. 1-3 p.m. North Dakota State College of Science (Fargo). Manufacturing. Wednesday, Oct. 26. 1-3 p.m. Minot State University. The Whole Student.
Previous Pillar talks on Diversity, Energy, Liberal Arts & Humanities, and Tomorrow's Student drew from expansive stakeholder groups to help successfully identify needs in their respective areas.
