In response to the expressed intent of the North Dakota State Board of Higher Education's Legislative leadership to have a more efficient and transparent system of public higher education, Chancellor Hamid Shirvani has proposed a mission - driven university system whose eleven institutions work in concert to make students' educational goals their highest priority.
In order to achieve this objective, the Office of the Chancellor has prepared the Pathways to Student Success plan, which has been reviewed and collaboratively enhanced by the university community. The plan involves the implementation of several initiatives which fall under categories designated as Access, Quality, Affordability, Learning, and Accountability.
