It’s Homecoming Week at the University of North Dakota

There’s something for everyone at UND as the Alumni Association & Foundation heads up a week chockful of special events

It’s time to come home!

The University of North Dakota’s biggest Alumni-focused time of the year kicks off Monday, Sept. 30, for Homecoming Week, and this one just might prove to be among the biggest.

On deck this week are events and gatherings for current students, alumni and the communities at large, including the Sioux Awards Banquet on Thursday night, Fighting Hawk Friday (wear your green with pride), Homecoming Parade down University Avenue on Saturday, and of course, later the same day tailgating before the big UND football game, against California-Davis, at the Alerus Center – and hockey, between your Fighting Hawks and the University of Manitoba Bisons at The Ralph to cap off the busy Saturday.

This week, we’ll also be celebrating the 100th Anniversary of UND’s Reserve Officer Training Corps battalion, a soft public opening of the Ray Richards Golf Course on Wednesday and Thursday, and a visit by our lead donors and freshly approved namesakes for UND’s proposed College of Business & Public Administration building, Werner and Colleen Nistler, on Friday. And don’t forget about the special groundbreaking event, also set for Friday, for the new UND Memorial Union building.
