Dakota College to Add Women’s Ice Hockey

Dakota College plans to add women’s ice hockey as a new sport.  The decision to add women’s ice hockey was based on survey input from current students and staff that showed a strong interest in adding the sport. Community support also played into the decision. The college plans to participate at the Division II level of the American Collegiate Hockey Association.

Dakota College Recognized for 2 Top Degree Programs in the US

Dakota College, Bottineau has been awarded top ranking status for multiple degree programs by Intelligent.com. Intelligent.com provides unbiased research to help students make informed decisions about higher education programs. The 2020 rankings are calculated through a unique scoring system which includes student engagement, potential return on investment, and leading third-party evaluations.  Dakota College is ranked #9 in the Photography Degree Programs and #42 in the Medical Coding Degree Programs.

Dakota College Announces Hometown Career Scholarship

Dakota College at Bottineau announces a major new scholarship that will help address workforce needs in north central North Dakota. Through the support of the Bottineau County Economic Development Corporation and anticipated matching funds from the North Dakota Challenge Grant program, $100,000 in scholarship funds will be available to students enrolling in Career and Technical Education programs at Dakota College at Bottineau.

The Hometown Career Scholarship will provide up to $2,500 for approximately 40 new students from Bottineau, McHenry, Pierce, Renville and Rolette counties who enroll in one of over 30 CTE program options in the areas of agriculture, business, education, human services, health, horticulture, natural resources and photography.
