06 Mar BSC team advances to Collegiate Cyber Defense Regional Competition
In a digital world where virtually all content can be consumed from any device at any time, and where social media is the mecca for Generation Z, the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (NCCDC) is the Rolls Royce of events for students applying cyber skills that protect the world’s devices and information. Bismarck State College’s team proved their cyber savvy in February by qualifying to compete in the 2020 regional event, a path to nationals.
The annual competition involves regional qualifiers held around the country, with the national championships held annually in the San Antonio, Texas area. This year the Qualifier included 17 teams competing from around the nation. BSC placed in the top eight, enabling them to advance to the regional competition the end of March.
