NDSU student-athlete named to Honors Court

 

Five NDSU men’s basketball players were named to the NABC Honors Court announced by the National Association of Basketball Coaches on July 15. Jared Samuelson, Chris Quayle, Rocky Kreuser, Tyree Eady and Jaxon Knotek earned the academic recognition for the Bison.

Student-athletes must have junior or senior academic standing and a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher at the end of the academic year to qualify.

Samuelson averaged 6.3 points per game as a senior in the 2019-20 season. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance with a 3.75 cumulative GPA.

Quayle played in 31 of 33 games for NDSU, averaging 1.7 points and 1.4 rebounds per contest. He is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration after earning a bachelor’s degree in finance.

Kreuser started 31 of 33 games for the Bison, ranking third on the team in scoring with 10 points per game. He was named to The Summit League Academic All-League Team. He has a 3.61 GPA as a university studies major with minors in psychology and criminal justice.

Eady averaged 6.7 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. He is an exercise science major with a 3.70 GPA.

Knotek played in 20 of 33 games, averaging 3.0 points and 1.4 rebounds per contest. He has a 3.55 GPA with a major in strategic communication.
