06 Aug Krebsbach Named Interim Vice Chancellor for Administrative Affairs
The North Dakota University System has appointed David Krebsbach as interim vice chancellor for administrative affairs and chief financial officer.
Krebsbach will take on responsibilities as the system’s interim vice chancellor for administrative affairs and chief financial officer as of Aug 16, 2021. Krebsbach has worked for the NDUS since August 2016. In his current role, he is responsible for all budget related and fiscal matters of the system office. He works closely with all 11 NDUS institutions on accounting, financial management and budget formulation. He has also played an integral role in preparing fiscal research, reports and testimony during legislative session. The position fills the need for leadership-level oversight of financial administration and other financial functions at the system level.
Prior to his work at the NDUS, he was a finance manager for Job Service of North Dakota for eight years. He also has experience working as a comptroller and as a senior accountant. Krebsbach obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, ND, and is a Certified public accountant.
Chancellor Mark Hagerott said Krebsbach continues to be an exemplary fit to the organization.
“Mr. Krebsbach has proven leadership skills and extensive experience in administrative operations, experience with the higher education funding formula and with the legislative process and a work philosophy that has been an asset to the NDUS,” Hagerott said. “He and the administrative affairs team have helped us keep a balanced budget across the system. His professional approach has helped us navigate a budget plan through our COVID response and he continues to align our budget and strategic processes, all while maintaining a primary focus on our students and campuses.”
