ND SAMS PORTAL FOR STUDENTS

The ND State Aid Management System Portal (ND SAMS) is the new way for students to interact with their state scholarship applications, and view state aid awards and disbursements. 

What can students do in ND SAMS?

• Apply for the following ND state scholarships:
  • Native American Scholarship
  • Dual Credit Scholarship
  • ND Career Builders Scholarship
  • ND Career Builders Loan Repayment
  • Professional Student Exchange Program (PSEP)
• View awards
• View disbursements
• Request a transfer of scholarships to a new college

Instructions to access the portal and applications

Before you click the link to access the ND SAMS portal, read steps 1-3 below.  All 3 steps must be completed the 1st time you log in in order for you to gain access to the system!!

Step 1:  Click on “Register” in the lower right and then enter your profile information.

Step 2:  You will then be redirected to the login page where you will enter your password and MFA code.

• • ND SAMS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to ensure the security of personal information.
  • Google Authenticator is the recommended app to use.

Step 3:  First time logging in?  This step is REQUIRED!!  Once logged into ND SAMS you will need to select “VERIFY MY ACCESS” in the upper right corner.  You will not be able to access any of the applications or your information until you do this step.  This is only required the 1st time you log in.

Once you have accessed the system, you can apply for scholarships, view awards and disbursements, view your student profile, and request a transfer of your scholarship(s) to a new institution.
