Scope of Work:
Individuals assigned to positions in this job family perform duties associated with binding and finishing a variety of materials such as books, magazines, brochures, catalogs, pamphlets, directories, forms, reports, and other printed material.
Examples of Duties:
- Set up and operate machines and equipment for collating, punching holes, stamping numbers, folding, cutting, ruling, roughing, indexing, padding, stitching, or gluing
- Wrap, box, or otherwise prepare finished products for delivery or shipment; complete job order data as required
- Determine supply quantities; maintain equipment to include minor maintenance, adjustments, and cleaning. May determine most efficient method of binding within order requirements
- May be required to operate related duplicating machines and be involved in other related processing
Minimum Qualifications to Enter Family:
Requires high school diploma or GED.
Exception: The employing institution may substitute directly related work experience or education for minimum qualification requirements with written justification.
